Herb & Dorothy is a gem of a film about Herbert and Dorothy Vogel who have been meticulously collecting and buying art for over thirty years. In the early 1960s, when little attention was paid to Minimalist and Conceptual Art, Herb and Dorothy began purchasing the works of then unknown artists on a postal clerk salary. Herb & Dorothy provides a unique chronicle of the world of contemporary art from two unlikely collectors, whose shared passion and discipline defines stereotypes and redefines what it means to be a patron of the arts.
