If I lived in San Francisco this would be a ritual. The first Sunday of every month, the Alameda Point Antiques and Collectibles Fair takes place at the former Alameda Point Naval Air Station in Alameda, California with over 800 vendors. They 'require' that all sold items are at least twenty years old which means...no tube socks!! Unless they're from the 1980s? If you're in the area at the beginning of the month, go see!
